Hoppy Birthday Card

Howdy!  What a busy weekend-hosting a book club (The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins-I highly recommend it), attending a baby shower, taking my daughter shopping and of course family movie night-Resident Evil 3D at the Theater!  No Resident Evil was not my pick-but my husband and my daughter didn't want to see a romantic comedy.  -Sigh-  The things we do for love...

So sadly-I didn't much crafting done this weekend.  I am really happy to get back in the groove-especially since my latest order of copic markers arrived today!  Yay!  This birthday card was made for the latest challenge at Tiddly Inks.  I used the adorable image Donna that you can find here.  My daughter and I just fell in love with this image.  I planned to use a different image for the challenge but I just had to play with sweet little Donna and her frog!

I plan to enter this card into the following challenges:
tiddlyinkschallenge.blogspot.com-Happy Birthday
thesecretcraftersaturdaychallenge.blogspot.com-Sketch (see below)
cutecardthursday.blogspot.com-play on words

I used the sketch above from the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge as my basis after I colored my image using my Copic Sketch Markers (BV00/02/04, UT23/25, E13/11/00).  I cut my image into a circle and matted it with Black Bazzill cardstock cut with the scalloped circles nestabilities.  I then stamped a smaller circle with the sentiment using Studio G and Hero Arts stamps.  I inked and distressed the edges of all the papers and punched holes in either side of the circle-I thread a piece string through and adhered the image using foam adhesive.  I finished off the image with three black gems at the bottom  right of the card!  Viola!
