Apple Thank You Card

Card

Close-Up (Diamond Glaze)
I received this free digital image from Designed2Delight Digital Stamps.  Each month they hold a challenge to create a card using a free digi and everyone that enters received another free digi and so on for the month!  This is my first month entering and I am really excited because they have great digital stamps!

I plan to enter this card into the following challenges:
designed2delight.blogspot.com-Use the Apple a Day Image
suchins.blogspot.com-Tutti Frutti
digitaltuesdaychallenge.blogspot.com-Ribbon, Buttons or Bling and a Digi
fabnfunkychallenges.blogspot.com-Use a Digi Image

The apples were a blast to color with my Prismacolor Pencils.  I added some Diamond Glaze to make them nice and shiny!  I cut out the image into a circle and mounted it on a scalloped circle cut from Poppy Red Cardstock from Paper Trey Ink with my nestabilities.   I just received my sampler of PTI Cardstock last week and I am loving it!  Such pretty colors and very sturdy.  I used the Dark Chocolate Cardstock to create a square card base.

I cut my patterned paper from My Mind's Eye into a smaller square and matted it with more Poppy Red Cardstock but before adhering it - I used a small circle punch to cut the corners.  I have seen this done on cards before and I believe there may actually be a punch for this but I haven't been able to find it-so I improvised!  I added some brads and green stitching around the square.  I just love the look of stitching-but my sewing machine is broken and I have to admit I am not terribly experienced at sewing anyway.  I end up using a lot of the Bazzill Stitch Templates!  I added a bit of thick jute, a sentiment from Hero Arts and three little buttons!

Boo Card

Halloween Scene-Inside
Close-Up of Trick-or-Treaters

So I apologize now if I am not exactly coherent-still fighting a miserable cold!  I made this card for the latest Challenge over at Simply Betty Stamps-12 Days of Halloween-Day 2!  It called for two trick-or-treaters and I knew that I wanted to use Nelly Fairy (here) and Skeleton Peter (here)!

I plan to enter this card into the following challenges:

I decided to create a Halloween Scene.  After coloring my Simply Betty Digis with color pencils, I added a little sparkle with my Clear Spica pen and Crystal Stickles then I cut them out.  I printed out a Halloween Spooky House digi from Sypder's Corner and colored the moon, windows and ghosts.  I added some crystal stickles to the moon and punched out five bats and a spider, then adhered them to the card.

I printed out two doors from Tiddly Inks-Door of Dreams.  You can find it here. After cutting out the doors (I decided not to use the frame) I colored the doors and glued them together.  I then attached the door to my Halloween scene with hinges and brads (this was a little trickier than it looks-though that could have been how tired I am!)  I added the trick-or-treaters with foam adhesive.  A Boo door hanging on the front of the door finished it off!

Holly Jolly Card

Card
Close-Up with Diamond Glaze

Another festive Christmas Card!  This one features the Tiddly Inks Digi Christmas Pixie.  You can find her here.  By the time Christmas actually rolls around...I might be sick of it all ready!  Nah...it'll never happen.  I have to admit that I am one of those annoying people that loves the holidays.  Please feel free to remind me of this come December when I am complaining about how stressed out I am!  LOL!

I plan to enter this card into the following challenges:

charismacardz.blogspot.com-Christmas Crafting
stamptacularsundaychallenge.blogspot.com-5 or more Layers!

I colored the Christmas Pixie with my Prismacolor Pencils and Blender.  Then inked, sanded and distressed the image.  I then added the Diamond Glaze to the Pixie's leaves-I forgot how much fun it can be!  While I waited for it to dry-I worked on the rest of the car-cutting a scalloped oval to mat the image and stamping the sentiment (from a Studio G stamp) onto another oval.  I used matching pattered paper from an old Christmas Scrapbooking Set from KI Memories.  I put the card together using the sketch above from Bunny Zoes Crafts!

You are so Sweet Card

Fighting a cold and not feeling so hot but I had to do this card because I just love Karber Digital Images-they are too cute!  I used ice cream Jenny for this card-you can find her here

I plan to enter this card into the following challenges:

I colored Jenny using my Copic Sketch Markers and cut her out.  I mounted her on a white circle (pre-inked, sanded and distressed of course!) with foam adhesive and a scalloped circle cut with my nestabilities in my quickutz revolution.  I used some pattered paper from my stash and assembled the card according to the sketch (above) from Tuesday Morning Sketchers.  I stamped the sentiment using some little letter stamps from Studio G, added some blue pearls and added some crystal stickles to the ice cream (I just couldn't resist!)

Many Thanks Card

I have been wanting to use this beautiful digi from Stitchy Bear Stamps called Butterfly Love for awhile now.  You can find it here.

Sketch by 2Sketches4You

I colored my image with Prismacolor Pencils and a Blender.  I just love how this little Butterfly/Fairy is like a flower-so I tried to keep that idea while I colored her.  I used some patterned paper from Basic Grey as my inspiration-it has shades of brown, olive green, red and pink.  I used it to mat my image after sanding, inking and distressing everything with my Tim Holtz Distress Inks.  I used my cuddlebug to cut out a Label shape from Tim Holtz Alterations/Sizziz and used that as a template to cut three sides of my card.  I adhered some olive green ric rac and then assembled the rest of the pieces to match the above sketch.  I added some faux stitching with a white gel pen then for Sparke and Shimmer I added Crystal Stickles to her wings!

Autumn Colors

I am embarrassed to admit I don't know who makes the stamps I used for the tree and the leaves.  I picked it up a few years ago at my LSS's annual garage sale and it was unmarked!  But it is such a lovely little set!  I used various colors of ink to stamp the leaves and trees.  I then colored in the leaves using my Prismacolor Pencils.  I inked, sanded and distressed the image and the other pieces of my card.  I adhered my image to brown cardstock for matting and then the card base.  I used a strip of olive cardstock and layered it with three autumn colored fibers.  I stamped the sentiments from Paper Trey Ink (Wishing you a wonderful) and the Target Dollar Spot (Autumn)and added a red button with a little jute bow.  Finally I added Crystal Stickles to the leaves for added dimension!

October Calendar

October Calendar
Close-up of Betty Witch Tag
Happy Halloween!  I am so excited to participate in the Simply Betty Stamps 12 days of Halloween.  I usually make a calendar at the beginning of each month-so I thought this would be perfect for the Simply Betty challenges and the Betty Witch Digi was perfect!

I plan to enter this calendar into the following challenges:

haunteddesignhouse.blogspot.com-Magical Mayhem
simonsaysstampandshow.blogspot.com-Distressed & Sanded

I colored Betty with my Copic Sketch Markers.  I added some glitter with my Clear Spica Pen and some Crystal Stickles over the cauldron!  I inked, sanded and distressed the image, punched a hole with my hole punch and added some fun fibers.  Then I stamped the calendar using stamps by Hero Arts, Inque, Studio G and Paper Trey Ink.  I colored in the images on the calendar with my Prismacolor Pencils and Gamasol, then inked, sanded and distressed the Calendar.  I cut the word October with my Cricket using Plantin Schoolbook and patterned paper from We AR Memory Keepers (Heebie Jeebies).  I made a border with matching patterned paper and some webbed ribbon.  I added a few die cut embellishments using my Quikutz, Cricket and Glittered Chipboard Elements by My Mind's Eye!

Snowman Card

I made this Clean and Simple card using a Digital Stamp from Tiddly Inks called Something Warm (you can find it here) and a Tag Sentiment from Hero Arts.  I colored the snowman with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamasol and added some Crystal Stickles on the snowbank (sorry-its difficult to see in the picture).  Just a quick but sweet Christmas Card!
