Betty Belfrey Halloween Card

When I stumbled on the haunteddesignhouse.blogspot.com I started to get excited about Halloween.  Yeah I know-it's still almost two months away.  But Halloween ties with Christmas for my favorite holiday.  Ever since I was a kid, I have loved getting to play dress-up.  Probably why I was an actress for a long time!  I found the perfect image for my first Halloween card here at Tiddly Inks!

I plan to enter this card in the following challenges:
haunteddesignhouse.blogspot.com -Creepy Cute
thepixiecottage.blogspot.com -Sketch (below)

I used the above sketch from the Pixie Cottage to make my card.  I colored my digit Betty Belfrey by Tiddly Inks with my Copic Sketch Markers (V01/12/15, YG25/23, E00/000, C5/4 and E57/55/53).  I added some distress stickles to Betty's dress and then I stamped a couple of spiders at her feet.  I inked the edges and matted it with purple cardstock.  I'm not usually much for measuring out my cards but I wanted the three spots of patterned paper to be about the same-so I cut three strips My Mind's Eye Boo to You patterned paper of 1 1/2 inches tall and 6 1/4 inches wide.  I inked the edges using distress inks and glued them to the card base.  I added a ribbon and my matted Betty image with foam adhesive. (Yes I love my images to pop!!) I then stamped the sentiment Trick or Treat from Hero Arts-Happy Halloween and added one more spider in the web of the patterned paper.  Finally I added three glittery chipboard skulls-also from My Minds' Eye.  First Halloween Card-Check!
