Halloween Bobblehead Mini-Card Set
So far I have spent the weekend totally updating my etsy site. But yesterday I did take the time to create these little Halloween Mini-Cards. They were so much fun to color! I have to say that I am really liking the smoothness of the X-Press It paper with my copic markers. Besides the high price...my only complaint is that sometimes it gets a little sticky spot if I use a lot of ink blending. Like if I go back over a spot over and over again. Since I am still experimenting with the different brands of paper for copic markers-I would love to hear from everyone-what brand works good for you?
These adorable little Halloween Bobbleheads are digi images from Bugaboo Stamps. I bought seven of them in a pack last year and just hadn't gotten around to playing with them yet. But yesterday I printed them out.
Needing an eighth image-I found the Bobble Head Kid Kitty. She seemed perfect for Halloween. I paired the images up with some paper from DCWV (the Midnight Spell Stack).
For those that are interested here are the copic colors I used:
For skin-E50, E13, E11, E00, E000 and R20 (The lightest colors for Dracula, the darkest for the Devil and some rosy cheeks for the Kitty Cat and the Princess. For Frankenstein see the greens below!)
Whites-E50, E41, E40
Greens-YG25, YG23, YG13
Blacks & Greys-C9, C7, C5, C3
Purples-V17, V15, V12
Oranges-YR68, YR15
Blonde Hair-Y28, Y26, Y21
Brown Hair-E37, E35
Thanks for stopping by!

So...it's been a while since I have blogged. You know how life gets in the way! Lately I have been obsessed with Copic markers. Above see one of my latest creations. Since I am still a beginner I really like the Big Headed girls that you can find through The Greeting Farm or CC Designs (All That Scraps.) I am really trying to work on my shading techniques. I think I am getting pretty good at hair and faces but I am still working on everything else!
I promise to work on blogging a little more consistently! Who knows-I may even start entering some contests again! For now I will leave you with another card.

Apple Thank You Card
Card |
Close-Up (Diamond Glaze) |
I plan to enter this card into the following challenges:
designed2delight.blogspot.com-Use the Apple a Day Image
suchins.blogspot.com-Tutti Frutti
digitaltuesdaychallenge.blogspot.com-Ribbon, Buttons or Bling and a Digi
fabnfunkychallenges.blogspot.com-Use a Digi Image
The apples were a blast to color with my Prismacolor Pencils. I added some Diamond Glaze to make them nice and shiny! I cut out the image into a circle and mounted it on a scalloped circle cut from Poppy Red Cardstock from Paper Trey Ink with my nestabilities. I just received my sampler of PTI Cardstock last week and I am loving it! Such pretty colors and very sturdy. I used the Dark Chocolate Cardstock to create a square card base.
I cut my patterned paper from My Mind's Eye into a smaller square and matted it with more Poppy Red Cardstock but before adhering it - I used a small circle punch to cut the corners. I have seen this done on cards before and I believe there may actually be a punch for this but I haven't been able to find it-so I improvised! I added some brads and green stitching around the square. I just love the look of stitching-but my sewing machine is broken and I have to admit I am not terribly experienced at sewing anyway. I end up using a lot of the Bazzill Stitch Templates! I added a bit of thick jute, a sentiment from Hero Arts and three little buttons!

Boo Card

Halloween Scene-Inside |
Close-Up of Trick-or-Treaters |
So I apologize now if I am not exactly coherent-still fighting a miserable cold! I made this card for the latest Challenge over at Simply Betty Stamps-12 Days of Halloween-Day 2! It called for two trick-or-treaters and I knew that I wanted to use Nelly Fairy (here) and Skeleton Peter (here)!
I plan to enter this card into the following challenges:

thecraftypad.blogspot.com-Spooky
onestitchatatimechallenge.blogspot.com -Spooky Halloween
thepinkelephantchallenge.blogspot.com-Childhood
I decided to create a Halloween Scene. After coloring my Simply Betty Digis with color pencils, I added a little sparkle with my Clear Spica pen and Crystal Stickles then I cut them out. I printed out a Halloween Spooky House digi from Sypder's Corner and colored the moon, windows and ghosts. I added some crystal stickles to the moon and punched out five bats and a spider, then adhered them to the card.
I printed out two doors from Tiddly Inks-Door of Dreams. You can find it here. After cutting out the doors (I decided not to use the frame) I colored the doors and glued them together. I then attached the door to my Halloween scene with hinges and brads (this was a little trickier than it looks-though that could have been how tired I am!) I added the trick-or-treaters with foam adhesive. A Boo door hanging on the front of the door finished it off!

Holly Jolly Card
Card |
Close-Up with Diamond Glaze |
Another festive Christmas Card! This one features the Tiddly Inks Digi Christmas Pixie. You can find her here. By the time Christmas actually rolls around...I might be sick of it all ready! Nah...it'll never happen. I have to admit that I am one of those annoying people that loves the holidays. Please feel free to remind me of this come December when I am complaining about how stressed out I am! LOL!
I plan to enter this card into the following challenges:
tiddlyinks.blogspot.com-Diamond Glaze
bunnyzoescrafts.blogspot.com-Sketch (see below)
charismacardz.blogspot.com-Christmas Crafting
stamptacularsundaychallenge.blogspot.com-5 or more Layers!
I colored the Christmas Pixie with my Prismacolor Pencils and Blender. Then inked, sanded and distressed the image. I then added the Diamond Glaze to the Pixie's leaves-I forgot how much fun it can be! While I waited for it to dry-I worked on the rest of the car-cutting a scalloped oval to mat the image and stamping the sentiment (from a Studio G stamp) onto another oval. I used matching pattered paper from an old Christmas Scrapbooking Set from KI Memories. I put the card together using the sketch above from Bunny Zoes Crafts!

You are so Sweet Card
Fighting a cold and not feeling so hot but I had to do this card because I just love Karber Digital Images-they are too cute! I used ice cream Jenny for this card-you can find her here.
I plan to enter this card into the following challenges:
karberschallenges.blogspot.com-Hobbies & Leisusre
tuesdaymorningsketches.blogspot.com -Sketch (see below)
I colored Jenny using my Copic Sketch Markers and cut her out. I mounted her on a white circle (pre-inked, sanded and distressed of course!) with foam adhesive and a scalloped circle cut with my nestabilities in my quickutz revolution. I used some pattered paper from my stash and assembled the card according to the sketch (above) from Tuesday Morning Sketchers. I stamped the sentiment using some little letter stamps from Studio G, added some blue pearls and added some crystal stickles to the ice cream (I just couldn't resist!)
