Boo Card

Halloween Scene-Inside
Close-Up of Trick-or-Treaters

So I apologize now if I am not exactly coherent-still fighting a miserable cold!  I made this card for the latest Challenge over at Simply Betty Stamps-12 Days of Halloween-Day 2!  It called for two trick-or-treaters and I knew that I wanted to use Nelly Fairy (here) and Skeleton Peter (here)!

I plan to enter this card into the following challenges:

I decided to create a Halloween Scene.  After coloring my Simply Betty Digis with color pencils, I added a little sparkle with my Clear Spica pen and Crystal Stickles then I cut them out.  I printed out a Halloween Spooky House digi from Sypder's Corner and colored the moon, windows and ghosts.  I added some crystal stickles to the moon and punched out five bats and a spider, then adhered them to the card.

I printed out two doors from Tiddly Inks-Door of Dreams.  You can find it here. After cutting out the doors (I decided not to use the frame) I colored the doors and glued them together.  I then attached the door to my Halloween scene with hinges and brads (this was a little trickier than it looks-though that could have been how tired I am!)  I added the trick-or-treaters with foam adhesive.  A Boo door hanging on the front of the door finished it off!

October Calendar

October Calendar
Close-up of Betty Witch Tag
Happy Halloween!  I am so excited to participate in the Simply Betty Stamps 12 days of Halloween.  I usually make a calendar at the beginning of each month-so I thought this would be perfect for the Simply Betty challenges and the Betty Witch Digi was perfect!

I plan to enter this calendar into the following challenges:

simplybettychallenges.blogspot.com-12 Days of Halloween (Day One-On the First Day of Halloween My Ghould love gave to me... One smiling Skellington Head!)

I colored Betty with my Copic Sketch Markers.  I added some glitter with my Clear Spica Pen and some Crystal Stickles over the cauldron!  I inked, sanded and distressed the image, punched a hole with my hole punch and added some fun fibers.  Then I stamped the calendar using stamps by Hero Arts, Inque, Studio G and Paper Trey Ink.  I colored in the images on the calendar with my Prismacolor Pencils and Gamasol, then inked, sanded and distressed the Calendar.  I cut the word October with my Cricket using Plantin Schoolbook and patterned paper from We AR Memory Keepers (Heebie Jeebies).  I made a border with matching patterned paper and some webbed ribbon.  I added a few die cut embellishments using my Quikutz, Cricket and Glittered Chipboard Elements by My Mind's Eye!

London Card

The challenges over at the Burtonesque Dolls are so much fun!  When I saw their latest challenge-Ghoul School I knew that I wanted to use one of my new Simply Betty Digis...  London fit perfectly for the chalkboard sentiment-I will not hit boys!  You can find London here.

I plan to enter this card into the following challenges
theburtonesquedolls.blogspot.com-Ghoul School
thepinkelephantchallenge.blogspot.com-Back to School

Since I really wanted the focus to be on London and the chalkboard, I kept the rest of the card pretty simple using some purple plaid patterned paper and grey bazzill cardstock from my stash.  I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks, my sanding block and my making memories paper distressing to ink and distress the edges.  (My daughter asked me if I distressed everything and I had to admit....pretty much yeah!)  I added a lime green bottle of poison and ribbon to match!
