Boo Card

Close-Up of Trick-or-Treaters

So I apologize now if I am not exactly coherent-still fighting a miserable cold!  I made this card for the latest Challenge over at Simply Betty Stamps-12 Days of Halloween-Day 2!  It called for two trick-or-treaters and I knew that I wanted to use Nelly Fairy (here) and Skeleton Peter (here)!

I plan to enter this card into the following challenges:

I decided to create a Halloween Scene.  After coloring my Simply Betty Digis with color pencils, I added a little sparkle with my Clear Spica pen and Crystal Stickles then I cut them out.  I printed out a Halloween Spooky House digi from Sypder's Corner and colored the moon, windows and ghosts.  I added some crystal stickles to the moon and punched out five bats and a spider, then adhered them to the card.

I printed out two doors from Tiddly Inks-Door of Dreams.  You can find it here. After cutting out the doors (I decided not to use the frame) I colored the doors and glued them together.  I then attached the door to my Halloween scene with hinges and brads (this was a little trickier than it looks-though that could have been how tired I am!)  I added the trick-or-treaters with foam adhesive.  A Boo door hanging on the front of the door finished it off!

Rainbow Balloon Card

The Crafty Pad and Ones Stitch at a Time are combining for a challenge in honor of a young boy named Cameron.  For more information click here.  I  had the perfect image from One Stitch at a Time-the Balloon Bear.  I combined that with the Rainbow stamp and sentiment from Hero Arts to make a sweet card for a child!

I plan to enter this card in the following challenges:
thecraftypad.blogspot.com-Rainbow (Cameron's Challenge)

I colored my images using my prismacolor pencils, gamasol and copic sketch markers for the popped up Balloons (B16, G07 and R27).  I added some crystal stickles for the clouds and some white thread for the balloon strings-which proved to be a bit trickier than I imagined!  I have been dying to try my new Inkadoo masking paper-One of my idols-Nichol Magouirk uses it to mask her stamped images and create beautiful cards and scrapbook pages.  You can check out her blog here.  So I masked my stamped images and used the inkessentials blending tool and colorbox blue ink to create the sky.  I then added googly eyes to the sweet little bear because what kid doesn't love googly eyes?!  (Well and me too!)  Then I inked and distressed each of my layers and assembled the card to match the sketch above.
